Why
Snag Your Buyer’s Email Address at Purchase?
Savvy sellers
have two email lists – one for people who haven’t bought
yet so you can keep sending them follow-up messages, like TV
commercials, until they buy, and one for people who did buy. Its
main job is to prevent a nasty, little thing called “buyer’s remorse”
from setting in.
Don’t give them a chance to
second-guess what they just did
or even think about asking for their money back.
The minute they purchase your product, immediately send them an email
thanking them for buying it. Reinforce that buying it was a good
decision and remind them what your product can do for them. Offer
to answer any questions (and do!) and tell them where to find
help if they need it.
This simple measure will reduce refund requests, and that means more
money in your pocket (and your affiliates’ pockets, too!).
You can also use this message to give them the link to your forum,
blog, etc.
If you use DLGuard, it will
automatically add the buyer’s email address
to the “already bought” list you set up on your autoresponder (Aweber,
etc.).

Be sure to unsubscribe them from
your
“haven’t bought yet” list!
You don’t want to keep sending them emails begging them to buy the
product they already bought or else they’ll think you’re a moron.

The other good thing about having
their email address…
When you come out with new, related products in the future, you’ll
already have a built-in list of people to market to. You know
they’d be interested in it AND you know they’re willing to spend money
for it. All you have to do is send an email to all the people on
this
list.
You can also use this list to offer great customer service, like when
you have an upgrade available, you can email them to let them know.
